Criw Cymraeg

Croeso i Criw Cymraeg!

Criw Cymraeg are children from each year group from Year 2 up to Year 6 with Miss Phillips and Miss Lewis supporting, in an aim to encourage the use of Welsh around the school.

Here are some of the things we do to support the development of Welsh in our school:

Gwasanaeth Cymraeg

(Welsh Assembly)

  • We lead a Welsh service for all of the school every Tuesday.
  • We are proud to sing our national anthem “Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau” in KS2.
  • We help teach Brawddeg Yr Wythnos and use the chalkboard on KS2 yard to help display this and encourage others to add to it.
  • Foundation Phase children say a short prayer in Welsh before Dinner time (Amser Cinio).
  • We encourage the use of Welsh in class and on the playground.
  • We help our teachers decide on who should have the Welsh certificate during the Welsh Assembly.
  • We help to run a Welsh stall at the Summer Fayre and Christmas Fayre.
